RIDE & FOURPLAY REVIEWS ARE IN
  19 September, 2015

The reviews are in for Darlinghurst Theatre Company's RIDE & FOURPLAY and Aaron's performance as Jack. Have a read below and see that he has turned in another moving performance that is not to be missed. As the guys from The Music have said, "This double bill is faultless. The set is dramatic, the scripts are relevant, the performances are genuine. This is the best serious theatre I've seen in Sydney this year." Check it out now!

"Glenane steals the show as the awkward Jack, while Scawthorn is excellently vulnerable and searching in portrayal of Alice. O'Sullivan and Palmer also shine brightly in an ensemble setting with a strong script and great direction from Anthony Skuse." - The AU Review
http://www.theaureview.com/arts/reviews/ride-and-fourplay-darlinghurst-theatre

"All four performances are strong, with Glenane especially commendable in underplaying Jack's eccentricities." - The Sydney Morning Herald
http://www.smh.com.au/entertainment/theatre/ride--fourplay-review-poetic-heart-missing-in-jane-bodies-trails-of-lies-20150910-gjj51b.html

"Significant praise has to be awarded to Glenane for his performance as Jack. His quirky characterization walks an impressively fine line between a light-hearted humuor and a disconcerting damaged. The nuances and layering that he brings to his character create a boyish intensity that is regularly surprising and consistently mesmerizing." - The Buzz From Sydney
http://www.thebuzzfromsydney.com/theatre/ride-fourplay-by-jane-bodie-darlinghurst-theatre-review-by-matthew-raven/

"Aaron Glenane has subtly sourced Jack's Aspergerish aspect and built a nicely nuanced character" - Australian Stage
http://www.australianstage.com.au/201509107450/reviews/sydney/ride-fourplay-%7C-darlinghurst-theatre-company.html

"Glenane's Jack is endearing in his reserved social ineptness, making it hard to dislike him even after his revelation. His facial expressions as he responds to the other conversations that play out are delightful." - Broadway World
http://www.broadwayworld.com/sydney/article/BWW-Review-RIDE-FOURPLAY-Pairs-Two-Poignant-Plays-About-Relationships-And-Identity-20150910#

"Aaron Glenane who played Jack in Fourplay seemed right at home in this production, his performance was a stand out for me. Glenane has a naturalistic ability to physically express his character with no sense of striving or strain. Glenane produced a character that was likeable, humorous and most of all genuine. Glenane formed a quick and potent connection with his audience, a very talented performer, a craftsman in his field, I loved his performance."
https://theatreunzipped.wordpress.com/2015/09/12/ride-fourplay/

"It's a beautifully powerful and utterly confronting form of choreography that holds the audience to the bosom of this heavily emotive and smartly written work." - The Brag
http://www.thebrag.com/arts/ride-fourplay

"This double bill is faultless. The set is dramatic, the scripts are relevant, the performances are genuine. This is the best serious theatre I've seen in Sydney this year."
http://themusic.com.au/arts/reviews/2015/09/16/ride-and-fourplay-sean-maroney

"Mr Glenane, seen, relatively recently in ORPHANS, and last year in GRUSOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES, delivers a simply clued and deeply experienced through-line of storytelling." - Kevin Jackson's Theatre Diary

Rave reviews for Aaron in 'Orphans'
  17 April, 2015

Aaron has turned in a "magnificent performance" as Phillip in Lyle Kessler's modern masterpiece, ORPHANS which had it's opening night this week. Suzy Goes See was there to review the show and here's what she had to say.

"Aaron Glenane turns in a magnificent performance as the younger brother, Phillip. The actor is marvelously nuanced in his intensity, expressing with great efficacy an exhaustive range of psychological possibilities and physical attributes, completely captivating in a beautifully embellished characterisation of damaged innocence. Glenane's approach is adventurous and playful, but also sensitive and studied. He understands chemistry instinctively, and fosters a strong bond with colleagues and audience that keeps us invested in Phillip's plight."

Full article here: suzygoessee.com/.../review-orphans-old-fitz-theatre-red-line-productions/

"Aaron Glenane is just as powerful as Phillip, perfectly balanced with Henry's performance. Glenane's portrayal emphasises the character's fear and desperation to escape from the world his brother has created. He's also given the character some strong vocal and physical idiosyncrasies, which only serve to engender even more sympathy from the audience."

"It's rough, unpretentious, in two short broadly entertaining acts, but high on drama, action and testosterone."
- 4/5 stars Daily Review - Crikey

FIRST REVIEWS FOR 'DEADLINE GALLIPOLI'
  17 March, 2015

The first reviews for DEADLINE GALLIPOLI are in and it's clearly hitting the mark with critics. Deadline Gallipoli is a fresh look at the Gallipoli legend, from the perspective of four war correspondents, Phillip Schuler, Ellis Ashmead-Bartlett, Keith Murdoch and Charles Bean. These were the first truly embedded war correspondents whose defiance ignited a change in the campaign's course and whose commitment to the stories of the men who turned the war from a strategic failure into a triumph of the human spirit.

Starring alongside Sam Worthington, Hugh Dancy and Charles Dance, Aaron plays front line soldier Stan Phipps in the 9 month long campaign on Anzac Cove. Foxtel's powerful new Australian mini-series Deadline Gallipoli will have its world premiere over two nights next month – Sunday April 19 and Monday April 20, at 8.30pm EST, on showcase.

"While the troops sacrificed wilfully "for God and Empire" remain the heroic heart of this miniseries, it's these four messengers who stay committed to telling the truth of events - motivated to keep those men left from being more "food for worms" - who bring fresh insight to this well-worn tale. ...being reminded of the horror, of the human sacrifice, even the value of a free press, makes it essential viewing." - http://www.news.com.au/../sam-worthingtons-deadline-gallipoli-is-a-reminder-how-australia-lost-its-innocence/

"Deadline is epic, cinematic even, but at its heart, this is a story about the little guy standing up to the bigger one. And there's something very Australian about that." - http://www.tvweeklogieawards.com.au/.../deadline-gallipoli-first-look-review/

"Director Michael Rymer is the unseen star of this drama, a master at bringing to life the drama...he deftly juggles the emotions of the individuals within the opera of this war, wrapped around grand set pieces that are most satisfying for the committed viewer." - TV Tonight http://tvtonight.com.au/.../deadline-gallipoli.html
